Below is an example of normalized UV and PL spectra for various wavelengths of water soluble CdSe/ZnS core-shell nanocrystals. The emission color of a particular size of nanocrystal is indicated by the color of the PL curve. The UV and PL spectra are good indicators of the size distribution of nanocrystal samples.
